LOCATION

Set high in the magnificent Savoie Alps, Tignes offers some of the best skiing in Europe with guaranteed year-round snow. Tignes and Val D'Isere, the "Espace Killy", is one large inter-linked area for skiing from Le Fornet at one end to Tignes-Les-Brévières at the other. There are 300 kms of pistes with 11 black runs, 91 red/blue runs and 30 green runs - something for everyone. The advanced skier will find endless challenges on and off piste on some of the most difficult skiing in the Alps. Those more interested in lunch spots will find a wide variety of restaurants around the mountains. There are 2 glaciers guaranteeing good snow conditions throughout the season with pistes going from 1550 metres to 2670 metres

Apres Ski:
•Les Chardons in Les Brevieres, try their different flavoured vodka shots if you dare. Live music in Vincent's Bar.The Harris Bar for a good atmosphere, Café de la Poste and the Terrachu or Crowded House for a British atmosphere.

A must is to visit the Ice Grotto.

Airports
Chambery is about 2 hours and eneva or Lyon - both are about 3½ hours by road away from the resort and have regular bus services.

Train
Bourg St Maurice is only 25 mins from Tignes. The Eurostar train and snow trains run directly from London St Pancras, either over night with sleeping couchettes or through the day.

Self Drive
 There are  two large car parks at either end of the village where the car can be left for the week - both are free.
